Kontribusi Muhammad Ajjaj al-Khatib dalam Studi Hadis: Telaah Terhadap Kitab al-Sunnah Qabl al-Tadwin dan Ushul al-Hadits

چکیده

The discourse on the authenticity of hadith is very crucial in studies, which has been subject study for both previous and contemporary scholars. This article aims to describe thoughts one scholars, Ajjaj al-Khatib, his contribution hadith. research literature by focusing two works namely al-Sunnah Qabl al-Tadwin Ushul al-Hadith. data collected through documentation technique was then analyzed descriptively-critically. results show that al-Khatib are line with mainstream muhadditsin regarding general rules science He explains discussions studies a meaningful language systematically easy be understood, straightens contradiction about writing codification hadith, falsification, capacity companions tabi'in transmission comprehensively. Apart from that, he also contributed explaining historical roots were valid since time Prophet, as well discussing refuting ideas orientalists verbal rational arguments.
